TEDx Teams Up With IDEO for "TEDx in a Box" Initiative

TED and IDEO bring the horizon-expanding conference to resource-strapped settings that need it most with a simple box of necessities. “TEDx in a Box” comes with two Nokia smartphones (preloaded with TED talks and capable of recording new talks), a projector, speakers, and a powerstrip. That is literally it. With the passion and effort of organizers, that’s all that’s needed anyhow.

We find context like this helps us focus on our challenges with perspective. If these $2000 kits, donated by wealthier TEDsters from around the world to TEDx organizers in need, will get a conference off the ground, imagine what you can do with your resources.
